American Idol Season 7 fan favorite, David Archuleta has become a household name as he spent his 2008 summer on the nationwide American Idol tour with his fellow contestants. This album includes a sequence of Pop tracks from the industry's most talented writers and producers. Archuleta's first single 'Crush' was produced by Emanuel 'Eman' Kiriakou.

Summary: A senior's impression
Comment: As a David Archuleta fan from the get-go on American Idol, I waited excitedly for a chance to have his music. And, as with Katherine McFee, the music industry ruins his sound, making him sound like all the other cookie-cutter recordings. The pounding percussion not only scatters his voice, it destroys it. Let the boy sing!

Summary: awesome talent!
Comment: I thought this album was awesome! I love the variety of styles for everybody. He uses his voice and doesn't use all the studio enhancements to make his voice sound good because his is all the album needs to make it sound great!

Summary: Surprisingly good!!
Comment: I half expected this to be a so-so album, but I like David Archuleta so I decided to give it a chance, and WOW! It's not at all the standard drab music that I'm used to hearing from the Idol contestants debut albums. It's actually really good music!! He has a really good upbeat sound that is very enjoyable and engaging.
Also, if you are expecting that this is teen pop-star type music, it's not so much. The only songs that remind me of those are "Crush", "A Little Too Not Over You". The rest of the songs have a very mature sound. Some, like "Desperate", "My Hands", "Don't Let Go", and "Running", you almost wouldn't even know it is an 17 year old singing!
My favorite song is "Your Eyes Don't Lie", although I WISH he would have left out that weird whistling!! Where was Simon on THAT one!?
Over all, definitely worth a listen!!
